Pros

New skills were gained and my manager was helpful. 100% of your health insurance is covered by the company. Remote work was flexible. Some of the team members were friendly.

Cons

This agency was inconsistent when it came to gaining and maintaining clients. In the first month after I joined, I was told, "Not a lot of new people last. They always end up going away." I believed maybe they left for better opportunities, but then I discovered they were laid off. I had high hopes for staying here, and it was unfortunate that being disposed of was easy for them since it had been done before. I was also informed that the team gets "cliquey," and I eventually noticed that. Just know that if you aren't located in either their Boston or Nashville offices, you'll be easy to dispose of since you aren't around everyone. They also hire part-time workers, and it saddened me that I was never given that opportunity and was immediately laid off. But maybe this was for the better, since from the start I already had doubts based on comments made by coworkers.

Pros

I love that XA upholds core values that expect hard work and real results for clients, but at the same time has benefits and an overall characteristic instilled that makes it clear the company cares about each employee. Often agency life will force you to sacrifice a work-life balance in order to over achieve for clients. Of course, there are busier seasons, but overall the two aren't mutually exclusive here. The flex work space/work from home situation is also ideal!

Cons

Some workflow/processes are still in the works of being solidified. This actually gives you a lot of ownership and say in how things work — which some people love and can find exciting, but could also not jive for other work styles.
