These guys over the last few years have gone through a couple of "purges" where they bring on a bunch of developers and product managers to build out the new features and products they think they need at the time and then they lay a bunch of people off and say it's because of budgetary reasons. That makes sense until you see them hiring for basically all the positions they just let go the next month. I was part of a lay off in November 2019 that affected 4 devs and 2 product manager that were hired around the same time in June of 2019. One month later they are advertising on Angellist for 4 devs and a Senior Product Manager. After talking to a few of the other folks who were laid off, I learned they had done this in 2018 as well. Be wary of these guys, they are not honest people. CA is an at-will state so they can let us go for any reason so there's no need for lies right? I think the only reason they've been able to get away with it is that nobody has said anything on Glassdoor, which I'm fixing now.
