      You have a lot of flexibility and autonomy.

      Cons

      The tools you are given are quite sub par which means you spend most of your time looking for your own resources. Generally experience no human contact with colleagues unless you go out of your way to build a team. To put simply, highly unmotivating job.

      The workload can be intense with high expectations for delivery. The proprietary nature of the work means using many in-house tools rather than industry-standard open source. Can feel siloed depending on which specific project or team you are assigned to.
