Pros
Good cause, decent pay, great benefits, smart people if you're in a good unit, minimal stress compared to private sector.
Cons
Beware of incompetent HR people, especially if you're going into an an non-central unit...these people are notoriously knownas bottom of the barrel when it comes to Bank HR staff and will really mess up your onboarding process. If you're a new hire, don't trust the HR person you're talking to, get a second opinion...and then be really patient.
