Pros

Took incredible care of us from work/life balance to flexible PTO to top-notch medical/healthcare benefits. Had some amazing times at WorkZone and look back on my time there very fondly. Rick is a very smart and careful leader who puts his employees and their best interests first.

Cons

Limited room for career growth for an individual contributor. Hit the inevitable pay ceiling and had to leave to better myself. Otherwise, I could have seen myself spending my entire career there.

Pros

The team at Workzone is a very talented, intelligent and accepting team that values individualism and work/life balance. Having the opportunity and resources in place to work remotely is extremely valuable, especially since I have recently welcomed my first child. The company holds a really high regard for customer support and training, which helps form great customer relationships, and gives me a sense of pride in my role here. The software itself is a great PM solution and the CEO is always open to employee and customer feedback, which helps our product constantly evolve to meet our customers needs.

Cons

Although working remotely is one of the greatest perks of this job, it can also be one of the cons, in the sense that it can prevent relationships from being formed, especially between the sales and support teams.

Pros

1) Work life balance 2) Being able to work remote 3) Benefits 4) I genuinely enjoy the people I work with 5) This is a fun and good sales team, although management may not agree

Cons

1) The head of sales bailed, so the CEO is the new sales manager and he isn't a people person or a sales person. 2) Quota is impossible to hit, which impacts being able to earn commission. The income expectation has really changed. No wonder turnover is high. 3) No longer able to have flexibility to discount to win deals. Workzone is 2 times the price of our competitors, making it even harder to win competitive deals. 4) Career opportunities are lacking 5) Working out of a house is not for everyone 6) Product lacks significant features needed to compete in most deals 7) Once a quarter there is a company wide meeting where we are reminded how awful they are and that we cant sell 8) working remote is difficult for some, so while it is a pro I'm also putting it as a con since it is challenging most of the time 9) Your lead to beleive workzone has a good culture, but its more negative than good

Firstly, thank you for the hard work. I know how difficult it is to be a sales person in a competitive market like ours and I appreciate the effort that you put in. We believe that if you’re coachable and dedicated to learning and growing in your role, there will always be a place for you at Workzone. When that’s not the case, it’s sometimes our unhappy job to make personnel decisions for the benefit of everyone else at the company. We want to create a positive environment for all, where people feel empowered to create change and to directly impact the company’s bottom line. We ask only that you show up to work with a good attitude and try your hardest to meet the reasonable targets that others in the sales team are able to meet. I wish you the best of luck in your new role and want to remind you that my door is always open, no matter what. - RM
