Pros

Good benefits like RRSP matching, good parental leave, annual bonus, wellness and home office budgets … etc. Good pay and clear growth plans, with some transparency on the compensation structure, something new in the last 1-2 year.

Cons

Major hustle culture with unrealistic expectations and workloads. Managers don’t empathize and will tell you figure it out how to make it work and sacrifice quality for output. People are expected to all be generalists and end up doing work that isn’t part of their job. You will be told all of this it’s a « growth opportunity » even if it will never be a part of your annual review or reflected in your job description. You have no say in the work you do, you hear a lot of « because ___ said so » it’s really a top-down structure. It’s all about performance and showing results and even if you do, your work will be criticized, it’s never good enough. Lots of people burn out and have to leave.
