Cons
This is a thankless job. Your students don’t care and usually don’t want to be there. Their parents don’t care. Worst of all, your boss doesn’t care or even thank you for doing a good job. If you actually help your students to grow as individuals, you’re never gonna get up word of appreciation for it. On the other hand, the Director is very quick to complain about your paperwork, and frankly, she is very nitpicky about it. There is zero room for growth or advancement in this company has a job coach. There are zero benefits. And the job is so part-time and unpredictable, that is impossible to make a good living doing it. Be prepared to spend a lot of your unpaid free time, making corrections to paperwork, emailing parents, and making phone calls, and never seeing a dime for it.
