There are several cons: 1) Very shady arrangements, not streamlined. No offer letter. No proper employment agreement terms. You will never know what to expect. 2) Very poor quality of companies you may find work at. I worked at a startup in the Bay Area in CA and was terminated on very frivilious grounds of things like making a 5 minute personal call during work hours and going to meet a friend after working hours. Really? 3) Poor communication and a lot of lies about being paid. They claim a payment is sent, but you may never receive it.
