Thank you for sharing your perspective and experience. We have found that team members who are self-motivated and mission-driven tend to excel and flourish at Wondercide. The company encourages personal and professional development and provides training, tools, mentorship and resources when an employee shows interest in a new area of the business. It is up to the team member to decide what they will do with the support and encouragement we provide. As for leadership, we have 6 senior managers and only 1 is a family member, who is exceptionally qualified for the position. The “walk out” referenced in this review and the implication that the company was hiding something is simply untrue. A year ago, there were 2 employees who resigned and 1 who was asked to resign. Because we could not share the details of these employees departure for privacy reasons, other team members felt scared and confused - which we understand. We did our best to reassure and counsel those with concerns and while some team members decided to move on to their next adventure, many more stayed and are thriving today. Running a small, fast-growing business necessitates employees who are flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving environment. Many of our team members thrive in that environment, but some find it challenging and have moved on to positions for which they are better suited. It is always hard when someone from your work family leaves and people will leave at different times for different reasons. It can be hard. We get that. Many small companies like Wondercide are unable to provide any benefits at all due to the high costs of health insurance. However, it is important to our CEO that we take great care of our team, so we not only offer these benefits, they are considered best in class. The insurance provided by the company is better than you will find in most large organizations. The company covers 50% of medical and 100% of dental and vision. Our plan has a max out-of-pocket cost of $1500 annually. Founding and growing a business from start-up to a multi-million dollar growth-stage business in just a few years is no easy feat. Our CEO and team have been successful because we operate with full transparency and direct communication. Every employee has access to the internal data app and can see the health and wellness of the business at any time. We take pride in the fact that we are open and honest with our employees. There is no sugar-coating the challenges or holding back on celebrating huge successes. It that feels emotional for some team members at times, we certainly understand that. Wondercide regularly holds private events, bi-monthly team building, quarterly team adventures, and annual holiday parties, all at the company’s expense. We have never had a mandatory event outside of company hours and employees have never been asked to pay for themselves. I believe this review is referencing a monthly happy hour get together that a few employees put together as a way to spend time with coworkers outside of work. This was never a company-sponsored event, and attendance was never mandatory or expected. It is not the company’s responsibility to pay for social gatherings outside of work. We wish you had the same positive experience at Wondercide that so many of our other team members have enjoyed. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
