Workflows are disorganised and priorities often change at short notice, resulting in confusion, reworks, immense stress, and heavy workloads. Creative and strategic decisions frequently change due to the founder’s heavy involvement in day to day decisions and the business taking a reactive rather than strategic approach to it's vision. There is little to no communication between teams and no considered initial planning on collaborative projects, resulting in lengthy back and forths and constant reworks. Onboarding is practically non-existent and expectations are often unclear and unrealistic due to shifting priorities and limited managerial guidance, making it hugely challenging for new employees to find their footing. The culture at times feels cliquish and unprofessional, making collaboration unnecessarily difficult, totally insufficient, or altogether absent. Office employees are expected to work through their lunch breaks and regularly stay late (after 6). Access to tools and resources are lacking, yet performance expectations remain high. Junior staff, interns, and recent graduates are often placed in broad, demanding roles, seemingly to cut costs.
