Pros
- We are surrounded with truly gifted and passionate people who give their 110% every day to grow our business and products. The expectations are high which entices people to be the best at what they do and continuously grow. - A true technical DNA with over 75% of our teams in a technical-oriented role - Being bootstrapped prevents us from the typical pitfalls of a startup: we are super agile and can make our own decisions. This also means the business is managed in a sensible way. We spend where we need to spend while preparing for the future - Our culture is very interesting and different from any I've seen before: we work with a lot of interns who then become full time employees. This means our culture focus is on learning and growing as a professional. People are given responsibilities when they are ready for them, they go on to manage interns, then FTE, then full teams and they are incredibly invested in their role from the get go! We do not fall into that toxic "we pay intern to do FTE jobs" culture that is so common in French startups: our interns add value to what we do but we don't forget that they are here to learn and grow and find out more about their area of expertise We have a great culture with limited silos, regular events (afterworks once a month, internal technical talks, an annual seminar + employees-led initiatives to go for a drink or play board games). We are not a family and we won't make you believe that, what we are is a bunch of people, co-workers, sometimes friends, who want to see their company succeed and work hard to make sure it does.
Cons
There is no perfect company and Wiremind is no different although the positives far outweighs the negatives! Some key improvements to be made: - More women! and more women in Leadership roles. This is true within many tech startups, in particular those that have such a high focus on tech roles, but we have to and we want to improve in that area so there's definitely work to be done here! - Storming and norming: we have been experiencing tremendous growth over the last few years so things moved fast. It is time to take a step back and look at the organization as a whole to ensure it is coherent and supports the trajectory we're on, some adjustments may be required to facilitate the collective work. There are probably more, but nothing that strikes me too hard since joining Wiremind. Some may say I am biased (and rightfully so :)) but that's how passionate I am about working here!
