Pros

I left Winmark in 2014 after 4 years of working as part of a tight-knit team. The company is ambitious, dynamic and punches well above its weight in terms of its access to C-suite executives from major global organisations, and its ability to leverage privileged insights from the cutting edge of business decision making. During my time there I had the great pleasure of witnessing the career progression of recent graduates, to senior positions both within the company and as next career steps. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment where you have real responsibility and can see the tangible results of the work you do, you'll enjoy Winmark.

Cons

It's a matter of perspective - if you are used to the more traditional environment of a large multi-functional organisation, you might not enjoy a role which demands the same level of expertise, but also requires you to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into the generalist tasks that were probably staffed by other roles. Targets and KPIs can be demanding, but no more than at other responsible organisations that need to manage a profitable business that can support it's staff. Also, some of the evening meetings can require the willingness to support non-standard hours.
