Pros

The store managers and sales advisers are the true heroes of this company, they take abuse from all sides, customers and regionals alike yet still have a smile on their face at the end of it

Cons

Only one thing wrong with winemark and that is a female regional manager currently employed there, one of the worst bosses imaginable, whos management style includes blatant favouritism, belittling people to let them know they are beneath her, ignorance, verbally abusing staff with personal insults, complete disregard for the needs and wellbeing of her staff, religiously makes people work to the belief "winemark first, family and personal life second" and creates a "cant win" atmosphere in the work place

Pros

Flexible hours (depending on manager). Easy enough money.

Cons

Company has no concern for staff welfare. Most shifts will be single-manned, contrary to both common sense and the advice of the PSNI. The days can be slow due to lack of anything engaging for staff. No radio/music allowed in the store, and no genuine rest breaks seem to be permitted when single-manned. The impact that constant lone working has on individuals is not considered. Barring the panic button, very little is offered to make the workplace safe for lone workers, especially those in shops who keep their door locked. In the event of a medical emergency or accident, employees are at serious risk. Customers can sometimes be difficult, however that is admittedly out of the company's control.
