Pros
They were doing cool things in AI, but the key people left for Google and Cursor won the AI coding fight. They'll blow smoke about Windsurf being a cut above in Enterprise sales, but it's mostly BS. They're doing fine, but they're still losing to Cursor, by a lot.
Cons
As you'd expect with a place that grew so quickly and hired so aggressively, managers were often people that were just first in the IC seat (and not even standouts in that IC role). Poor advice for those under them, little actionable feedback in 1:1s, objectively different rules for their favorite ICs.
