Pros

No mandatory weekends Decent living CAN be made Good job on install, low customer complaints

Cons

Training lasts 4 weeks, paid $100/day, training will get cut 2 weeks early. Takes 10 days minimum to be paid on jobs, however usually takes upward of 2+ weeks. They will run you into the ground, you’re on call all day Monday-Friday and can get appointments with less than an hour’s notice. Only allowed 21 days off per year, including sick time (unpaid). If you take just an evening, morning, or afternoon slot off, it counts as a whole day. You will drive 200 miles/ day easily, on your own gas/vehicle with zero reimbursement, you will also be required to buy new equipment (tablets, laptops) with no notice any time they decide to change things up. Not only will you drive 200 miles/day for 2-3 appointments, but each appointment you will present a 2-3 hour pitch. You’re maxed at 6% commission if they don’t sell same day. Lots of misleading promises for extra effort given that never come true.

Pros

Decent commission structure is really it.

Cons

Terrible benefits. Management is an absolute joke. Owner is dogmatic and changes rules literally day to day. They literally purchase the worst possible leads intentionally. One day the owner decides he wants to start buying the 5 cent leads, for context this means people who see an ad online “free windows if you’re over 65” or “government funded windows”, then you go to peoples homes expecting free windows for fake programs that don’t exist. Drive an hour and a half to deliver the news no you’d have to spend 20k sorry about that. Was great prior to that decision, made 20k+ in a month before. But after that change couldn’t really make anything anymore. For more context other companies wouldn’t even run the lead if the people mentioned the programs we were sent out to.
