Supportive staff, but high workload demands - Partner Wilson Elser Employee Review

Wilson Elser SF is provides a supportive, dynamic, and collegial environment. It has all the benefits of being part of a large firm (resources, training, opportunities for growth), as well as the smaller firm feel that is relaxed, friendly, and professional.

The firm's fast recent growth, and lack of professional continuing legal education budget. Although, the firm does support CLE and business opportunities, it is not as clear cut about what to do.

Was an associate here for the last 2 yrs and left for personal reasons. Overall a good firm and great place to work. The regional managing partner is excellent and approachable. They pay associates well. Were willing to be flexible when I fell off track due to personal reasons. Lots of work to go around and partners are helpful in circulating that work when needed. Great events & educational resources, good flexibility with re: remote/hybrid work, and I liked all of the associates I worked with.

Strict rules re: entering time/billing (as with any large firm). A few "off" or antagonistic partners.
