Pros

Can't really think of any.

Cons

WillDan has a completely incompetent HR and Benefits team. These departments can't even perform basic tasks like ensuring employees are properly enrolled in their benefits, although they have no problem taking the premiums from you and leading you to believe your benefits are in place. And when these issues are brought to their attention, they won't address them until you engage with the United States Department of Labor to assist. And even then, they take no responsibility. If you want to work for a company that views their employees as assets, this is not the company for you. You should look elsewhere.

Pros

Willdan will take, and take. If you are not someone who cannot look out for your own health and wellbeing with steadfastness, I would not work here. Most colleagues and supervisors will sooner take credit for your work, boasting about your success as their own or offering up your ideas, than they will to take a second to know you. If you are willing to duplicate this model, you will rise in the ranks quickly! My experience was that on one hand, the salary, flexibility, and low level of difficulty allowed for other parts of my life to take front and center. But on the other hand, every hour I spent pushing paper, designing spreadsheets with yet another flawed representation of data, and witnessing cruel mistreatment of coworkers, was an hour I regret wasting. Some people are more easily able to separate life and work, but spending so much of my time acting as a bandaid for broken systems took a mental toll on me. Willdan might well provide needed space and money for other valuable parts of your life, but I would not expect this workplace to be a source of pride or fulfillment or human connection.

Cons

From my perspective, Willdan is the inevitable result of an economic system whose main goal is profit, at the expense of people and ecosystems. The most credit I can give Willdan is that it doesn’t try to be anything but a money-maker for its shareholders. That bluntness is a breath of rancid air, but air nonetheless, compared to many organizations that will try and convince you that their work is meaningful when it is nothing close.
