This is a small company within a small city. At the time i worked there out of 100 or so employees they're were 7 minorities. Of those 7, four worked there because they knew each other. In my experience there, as a black woman, i experienced many microagressions from the employees there. One such incident involved being racially insulted in front of the whole company by a guest speaker. (A guest speaker who began his talk with agist remarks, might i add.) After which my fellow coworkers began treating me differently. When i brought up the issue during my exit interview, it was promptly brushed under the rug. So if you want to work here be mindful that the company culture is in dire need of a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion representative/deparment. They also do not pay well, paying significantly lower than other financial institutions in the Erie,PA area. Be ready to work at a company that inflates the importance of degrees for promotion.
