Pros

I was with Whitlock for 5 plus years and the company has one of the best cultures I have been a part of. The C level executives truly care about the people and are willing to listen to employees. They are currently going through a CRM change and the processes aren't where they need to be yet but they are getting better. I worked in both Dallas and Chicago in my time with Whitlock and can say that the local management was some of the best i have been part of. They really invest in their people and want to see them succeed.

Cons

Because they are going through a CRM change the processes still take too long currently. Communication about direction as a company got a lot better during my last 2 weeks with the company but at that point i had already accepted a position with another company.I hope that it continues to improve for the people still there. Whitlock typically pays $5 to 15k lower than their competitors across the country from what I was able to determine, and was ultimately a small part of why I left. There is a perception among employees that the only way to get a REAL raise is to come in with a competing offer and unfortunately I experienced this first hand.

Pros

- Great reputation in the industry - Both financial and manpower resources are available - Income potential is strong for sales - Benefits are strong - Strong national presence - Good folks

Cons

- Regional management may not be as strong as it needs to be (education, experience, management skills). - Project management ranks are a bit weak in capabilities and experiences which can cause some projects to struggle - Motto might be less is more, they tend to work people to the point of exhaustion at all levels in an effort to run lean. - Just too much to do with the available manpower resources which causes mistakes and lost profit opportunities - Can be very "high school" unfortunately - Internal processes can cause tremendous back ups and frustration although it is recognized that in many causes they are for good intentions
