Pros

- The culture is great. It is an environment that makes you feel comfortable to work due to the great energy and overall happiness of the staff. - Smaller departments - which means you can go directly to a source if you have any questions/concerns. - The managers are great mentors. I would often see managers work with their team members on a one on one basis. Ideamachine Studio is the first stop you should make on your growing career path. Whether you are an artist or in another department. The values learned at Ideamachine could be carried over whenever you decide to move on.

Cons

- Small business therefore the room for growing in certain departments is limited.

Pros

Co-Workers and Free Lunch on Wednesdays

Cons

Working at Whiteboard Animation is not the environment one might expect from a creative industry. Ideas and suggestions are often shot down immediately, usually by the CEO. If the idea did not come from his brain directly, it's a definite no-go. Additionally, the CEO is a huge burden on the company's success and your individual work process. Don't be surprised if you are asked to do several tasks out in left field, and expect him to change his mind every five seconds then back it up with imaginary facts and percentages that make absolutely no logical sense. Honestly, just avoid working here at all cost. If you are wanting to go into the marketing/sales section of the company, expect to be micromanaged and constantly undermined. If you want to work in the animation/creative section, prepare yourself to be let go with very little warning when slow weeks roll in. You will be told that you will be "re-hired" when things pick up again, but I never witnessed that actually happen. If you are desperate for a job, then by all means apply, but don't expect to grow with the company. There is very little room to move up.
