Pros

If you are looking to grow your PR career in Singapore fast with a pretty supportive network, I think this would be a good place to be at. The biggest draw here is the diversity of accounts you get to touch. From experience, I am not pigeonholed into just one narrow category. I get to work on everything from high-growth retail malls to lifestyle and F&B brands. The environment is incredibly robust and fast-paced, which means the learning curve is steep, but it is backed by excellent hands-on training. You get real ownership over your projects very early on, rather than just doing basic admin or tracking reports. The team culture is genuinely warm and collaborative. Everyone is ready to roll up their sleeves and help out when deadlines get tight. But what truly sets the agency apart is the supportive management. The leadership team actually listens, respects your input, and actively champions your professional growth. They manage with high trust and empathy rather than micro-managing, which is incredibly rare in this industry.

Cons

Because the agency is growing and the work is highly dynamic, the pace can be quite intense during peak campaign periods. You need to be adaptable, independent, and good at managing your time. It’s definitely not a place where you can just coast, but the payoff in terms of skill acquisition is 100% worth it.

Pros

Flexibility to work from home only. Often overridden by event hostings

Cons

- Micromanagement and lack of communication between senior leadership and executive-level staff. Management is hardly around but won’t hesitate to micromanage and single employees out. - High staff turnover, with many employees leaving within one to two years. Mostly driven by a combination of understaffing, heavy workloads and a toxic and unsupportive workplace culture. - Staff are often stretched across multiple responsibilities beyond work hours due to limited manpower. - A culture of favouritism - Despite limited day-to-day involvement from management, work is often subject to extensive scrutiny and nit-picking, even when completed to a high standard - Almost zero onboarding and training support - Concerns relating to workload, stress and operational challenges are often disregarded - Performance reviews are mostly focused on identifying shortcomings rather than providing constructive criticism - Client needs are prioritised above all else, at the expense of employee wellbeing - Office culture can be challenging, with limited support - Overall, the environment may not be suitable if you’re looking for a supportive workplace with strong mentorship and a collaborative workplace culture

WhiteLabel PR Response

We appreciate the feedback and want to address a few points on the record. Structured performance reviews have been part of how we operate for years, and we've continued to refine the framework to focus on growth, goal-setting, and two-way dialogue. We also run a documented onboarding programme for all new team members. The characterisation of "almost zero onboarding" and reviews "focused on identifying shortcomings" doesn't reflect how we work. PR is demanding work, and we won't pretend otherwise. But we've been actively hiring to manage workload, and we work to balance client delivery with the wellbeing of our team. We'd welcome a direct conversation. Our door is open.

Pros

Great autonomy over accounts with no micromanagement, the team are also lovely, supportive and creative. Hybrid working (3 office days per week) is very much respected by management and even shoot days/ things that require you to be away from home are prioritized for designated office days to respect the balance. They are also relaxed on timing, which is rare in an agency but shows respect for employees time, too. I.e they don't mind if you're occasionally late in the morning, because they already know you'd stay late in the evenings if needed. Great office vibe with music often playing and the colleagues get on like friends.

Cons

Onboarding procedure lacks some guidance, very much a 'throw you in and let you figure it out by yourself' kind of structure. Also HR procedures around visa's and salaries can get a little unreliable.
