Pros

There's a steady conveyor belt of very nice people people coming, regretting, and escaping. The comradery that comes with working with so many people who despise all despise their managing directors was the only thing that made this ordeal bearable. Most of middle management are also nice and try to shelter everyone from the managing directors mood swings and Big Brother approach. Others will throw you under the bus the second the microscope turns thimeir way.

Cons

Low pay, continuous, obsessive micro-management enforced by managing directors who insist that at least 2 other people must be CCd into every single email just to keep track of you. Proving that those who are the least trusting are also the least trustworthy. The managing directors are ego maniacs who think it's their own fiefdom, expects everyone to work unpaid overtime every day and treat you as if they aren't worthy to be in their presence. One of them stood up in the middle of the room and announced that 'No one has been walked out (fired) in a while.' Promptly firing myself and two others two days later. For way of a reason, I was told: 'this has nothing to do with your work ethic or anything you've done here, I just don't think you should be employed.' (He subsequently lied about this to the rest of the staff)

Pros

I actually quite enjoyed my time working here on the whole. Other reviews have articulated this much better than I can, however remote working is great. Colleagues are also lovely and there is a good camaraderie with staff. My line manager and HR department were also great and very understanding, which was really appreciated. The work is generally interesting, and as others outline no two days are the same. Great experience of working with policy and events as well, so felt like I gained a lot of experience. There is also quite a bit of room for progression in terms of pay which makes up for being on what feels like such a low wage to start.

Cons

IT was pretty slow and frustrating to use. Sometimes the server would just crash and there would be no way to carry on with work until the issue was fixed. Monthly meetings did bring a lot of anxiety, despite being a good time to meet with colleagues and get some focused work done. You also had to pay for your own transport which felt a bit unfair at times. Pay also starts very low if you're a new grad for the level of work you need to complete and the responsibility you have.
