Flexible schedules, work at home (for some staff), very casual work atmosphere, no dress code
Cons
Management is either unwilling of lacking in experience to get involved and lead employees effectively, administrative staff seen as dumb or inexperienced when all of them have more experience than the research assistants who are hired straight out of undergrad and don't have a clue, but end up doing a lot of clerical work (taking meeting minutes, scheduling meetings, and formatting Word documents and creating PowerPoint slides). If you want to spend money on a degree or advanced degree only to come to work and do entry level clerical duties then this place is for you. Also, the company is VERY TOP HEAVY and most junior staff end up leaving at about the 3 year mark when they see advancement is virtually non-existent. This is a good place to work if you just want a job and have no ambition or care about advancing your career. It is very easy to get complacent and comfortable as the work is not hard...then next thing you know 5 years has went by and you are doing the same thing with little to no chance of upward mobility. The health insurance employee monthly premiums are VERY expensive. You get SIX (6) holidays. Be prepared to work the day after Thanksgiving and no early closings the day before a holiday and no early closings or closings for inclement weather.
