Thank you for sharing your observations and opinions. Feedback, both positive and negative, helps us grow and improve, so we appreciate your having taken the time.
When a team member separates from a role, it’s normal for that person to feel frustrated and even angry about things he or she wish could have been handled differently. As People and Culture professionals, we also look closely at ways we could have helped to improve a situation for everyone involved. We’re human, and we are all works in progress. But we follow consistent processes and adhere to best practices to make sure all team members are treated fairly and given the opportunity to express themselves.
I’m proud of the way our team members do their work every day, and especially of the way they exhibit WesleyLife’s vision and values as they live into our mission. No situation is perfect – yes, there are times communities are short-handed. Yes, there are times someone runs for the phone and isn’t able to catch it on the last ring because he or she has been caring for a resident or client. Yes, there will always be ways we can improve. And we’re grateful for many team members who are willing to go above and beyond, day in and day out, to make WesleyLife a great place to work.
I hope you were given the opportunity during your separation meeting to express your concerns. If not, or if you’d like to talk further, please reach out to me at any time. I care about your well-being and wish you all the best.
