Pros

Better rewards when you have LOW Expectations,

Cons

Low Pay, Sparce Home Time, unclear instructions, I talked to a guy who had been driving for 16 YEARS, with Werner and was making $1000 a Week!!! THAT'S Not much more than I was Getting!!! In 2024?!?!? They'll Relay loads that are already Well-scheduled for a Solo Run. Upon pickup the shipper asks "Where is the load going?" Answer: "Well I'm taking it to Denver (From Green Bay.) My messages say It's going to cross the border into Mexico From El Paso Texas?!?!?! on the 14th by 8am, WHY don't we just Take 35!?!?! IT doesn't show me the final, So I'm not sure where in Mexico it's going. Wait.. What?!?!? I have home time near El Paso on the 14th!!" Later they'll put drop an entire Load/Rout (Pickup To Delivery) on you that SHOULD be Relayed- Like a 2200 Mile load to deliver in 36 hours (3 back to back driving Shifts) Claiming "This is a High Value load, Progress load when possible Safely!". Just to make it clear that "Relay really is better for the industry." I Told a TM. Not my Assigned TM that We could not deliver on time, I'm a Trainer, My CoDriver is A STUDENT,.. We are Not TEAM Drivers.. She said "It's ok... we just need that load moving, just progress the load whenever safe and possible, We will look into having you swap (Relay)." I took that as I (and my student) were to just try and drive, set Me/Us up for failure, and blamed Me/Us for not "communicating," Yet, They Deleted messages, and wouldn't answer the phone, But then Appologized when they realized when they looked at My Metrics (As A Trainer), delivering the most loads getting 18 hours of driving in a day between me and my student/s, "I don't know how We even got this load on you!"

Pros

Great Experience, ( Exp. May Vary) This is a great job for those who are first setting foot into trucking. The orientation process is, well a process to say the least. I went in looking to do team driving and I got lucky with my partner. If you dont really have anyone waiting for you at home then this job is good. They give you plenty of opportunities to switch accounts and some have ups and downs. Some benefits are okay, and some company sponsored discounts are great. Depending on the dispatcher they can be great or on your butt, Werner does reimburse for schooling which is great but its monthly. Also you do have to train with their trainers and some are either great like mine but ive heard contrary.

Cons

Pay is absolute not adequate. You get locked to 3k a week so your pay is about $900-$1100 depending on the mileage, very rarely did I get anything above and the times I did it was reimbursment for schooling. Saftey is on our butt as they have front facing cameras. These cameras are at a detriment more than for your saftey. Some trainers are garbage, my partner had a trainer who did the bare minimum and she paid the price for it, I have to teach her how to back every now and again.
