Pros

Everyone always claims that their team is fantastic, but it is rare to find that in practice. I've been pleasantly surprised how genuine, knowledgeable and collaborative everyone has been during my time here. The work is challenging, with great opportunities to create new and impactful features for our users. The environment is open to new and different opinions or ideas and feels like individual voices are really appreciated.

Cons

Bit of a firehose of information when onboarding, especially remotely. The people team is actively following up to address those concerns. Not necessarily a con, but the reality of the stage Wellframe is working through, there are not always clear goals and direction. The company itself is in a bit of a transition between acting on all the things it can do to facilitate potential client needs into a more strategic product roadmap, this will take some time to mature. If you're a self-starter this can be an asset, but if you need more process this might not be the best fit for you.

Pros

Awesome office in downtown Boston. Some of the best coworkers I've ever had. The cause (helping patients navigate their conditions through an app). Flexibility to work remote.

Cons

Wellframe went down the hole when the other company bought it. All our benefits changed from being the best we have ever had to being the worst we have ever seen. The company structure changed as well, and many Wellframers were laid off. The new company was also going through staff changes, and the Human Resources department was new and did not know what to do or how to help the many folks who now had to rely on them for their Human Resources needs. Since the purchase, I have seen my coworkers get laid off one after another, what is also putting more pressure on the folks who stay to do their work in double, with more responsibility and work, while no pay increase. People have been given a month to improve their performances or else get fired, and the ones who work harder to stay are still let go. So sad to see.
