Pros

- mostly decent coworkers - managers have experience - customers tend to be nice - 50% off most meals

Cons

- as with all work places middle management destroys - consistently hire r*de, l*zy and *rrogant middle managers who usually have little to no English communication skills, team player abilities or good leadership qualities. - Despite this, upper management must always support middle management over ordinary workers - This structure means that middle management can, and are extremely willing to use their position however they like, and be believed, trusted and valued more. - reaching middle management takes maximum 2 months of training - Not a good feeling to know that you will not be supported, if someone with 1 month extra training determines so. - both MM+UM Violate GDPR by taking pictures of workers without their consent and send it to all coworkers to see, to deliberately bully, harass, intimidate + humiliate. - sexual harassment is absolutely rife in KFC - there are major sex pests written off as “party animals” instead of seriously told off or even fired… - constantly being bombarded + propositioned for sex by multiple male coworkers at KFC who have clearly been trained in sexual harassment - “it’s not sexual harassment because we don’t work together anymore” - constant threats of being sent home from MM - aka lose your source of income that day - for little things I.e dropping tongs, angry cook - this kind of unstable work environment is not sustainable: employees can lose more money coming into work than not - makes sure employees are hyperaware they are highly replaceable and largely unimportant - if the clearest message to all employees is: you are replaceable AND we can take your pay + put you in a deficit at will, does that leave motivation to remain? Knowing you are essentially working a 0 hour contract. - all MM decision is supported, so if they don’t like you (which they will not [having a b*d personality is MM req no.1] no matter how amiable, kind + blind to their faults you are) they can decide your income for that day based on whether they are happy that day… - middle management are stressed (despite doing less than ordinary workers, and heavily abusing delegation powers to sit on phone in office) because they are being pressurised by upper management -upper management told me this themself - top management is always on holiday, which makes upper management deliriously j*alous - abysmal pay for under 18’s! Have been paid more at the same age, from half a decade ago.
