Pros

Great kids and awesome coworkers.

Cons

Calling it a preschool is a stretch. It’s run like a daycare. Admin puts the parents wants before the teachers. Decisions are made with zero input from teachers. There is no time for plan and prep besides the first 15 minutes of the day but they allow students in 10 minutes early, allowing 5 mins a day for pre, planning and cleaning. Lack of communication between supervisors and teachers. Admin often talks at us instead of to us as if we are children. There are no holiday breaks or breaks in between sessions. Sadly it has turned into a business for money instead of a school.

Pros

The kid's place team is genuinely like a family, and management is more reasonable than any other place I've worked. I get to feel like I'm actually making a difference in kids place and I get to work with people I love.

Cons

Working with kids can be stressful, low base pay

Pros

There are no pros to working in this horrendous environment.

Cons

Job turn over = HIGH almost nonstop If that doesn’t say do not apply I don’t know what does. No seasonal breaks. The center is closed 8 days out of the year. 42.5 hour work weeks. They do not pay a livable wage, and will promptly tell you to check out their food bank on Sunday’s if you are concerned about your bills. Zero, absolutely no planning time for teachers. I wish this was an exaggeration. They will not treat you as an educator, just a warm body making their paychecks possible. Extremely toxic work environment. Administration is defensive not at all receptive to the needs of staff members, not complaints, our NEEDS. The things we need to do the job asked of us. Any conversation you have be ready to be met with the response of "we do so much for you!! our jobs are so hard!!” Facility: dirty, outdated, nonfunctional, most everything is in need of repair. Not worth the money our families pay to attend this day care.
