Pros

There were some great middle-managers there, but they all went the way of the dodo for the same reason I did.

Cons

As others have mentioned, the CEO is an absolutely terrible leader. Has no vision and is only concerned with increasing pageviews, most of which are from third-world countries. He's one of those jerkoffs who corrects the grammar of waiters/waitresses, if that provides any insight into his personality. Outdated business model relying upon spamming people with promotional emails that signed up for dictionary newsletters. Tom thinks his company is a high-tech startup, it is not. I had to leave after a few months, couldn't take the atmosphere any more. Definitely hope that others won't take a chance on this place.

Pros

Flexible hours. High degree of autonomy, no micromanagement. Large audience so it's easy to have a big impact. Laid-back team, easy to work with.

Cons

Content is focused just on business and finance and investing so maybe not as good of a fit for people who aren't interested in these topics.

Pros

Very analytical, numbers-based culture. Management relatively open to new ideas, providing you can back up your idea with data. If you can't, you'll have to run a small-scale test to gather sample data.

Cons

The websites run by WebFinance are based on a dying advertising-based business model. They run on a mish-mash of old technologies and need a new "big idea." The office itself is sparsely decorated and depressing. Management keeps proposing team-building events after-hours while the employees nervously shift and avert their eyes. In the course of a day there are many awkward-turtle moments.
