Pros
I had many opportunities to work closely with members from startups, enterprise companies, VCs, and new business teams. As a Community Lead, I learned a lot about hospitality, community building, event planning, problem solving, and cross-functional communication. The environment was fast-paced, energetic, and full of inspiring people. I especially appreciated the chance to support members’ business growth, create connections, and see the real impact of community on a daily basis.
Cons
The role could be very busy and sometimes reactive, with many operational tasks, member requests, events, and business priorities happening at the same time. Because community work touches many areas, the scope was not always clearly defined. At times, it could be challenging to balance hospitality, operations, sales support, and community-building work within limited time and resources.
