Pros
- An intellectually challenging startup environment that allows a lot of room for professional growth - The ability to 'test-learn-adapt'. Your colleagues are super open to experimentation and rapid learning cycles in order to find the best solution - Teams aim for cross-functional collaboration - Kind, constructive feedback is encouraged - Great mission: help people find their forever homes, that they couldn't afford with a traditional mortgage
Cons
- Compensation for top performers could be more competitive - Culture could place more emphasis on developing good people managers and on high performance. Low performers could be better motivated to succeed or more quickly be managed out. - C-Suite / senior management has historically been male dominated. Positive changes have been made since the company's founding, and of course startups have limited resources to combat entrenched diversity challenges. But the historical disparity has had some continuing impact on making people feel more or less at home in the company
