Pros
I truly enjoyed working with the staff while I was there, and several of the projects were more interesting than the usual water resources projects that one might be tasked with. The interaction between my colleagues and I was usually very good, even though it took a bit to get used to communicating solely via Slack and emails since we all worked from home and were in different cities and/or states.
Cons
The amount of daily Slack messages and emails seemed excessive, even for a non-traditional work environment (pre-Covid) where we all worked from home. I try to "disconnect" from work and having to read work messages - except in certain cases under unusual circumstances or for a special project - after a certain time in the evening, but there seemed to be a daily round of messages & emails that would appear on my phone many times after 10 PM or even after midnight. There was also a very high rate of employee turnover that I have not seen in other companies of this size.
