      Understaffed. Poorly managed. High caseloads like any social service agency but expect you to work for free to make up for their lack of staffing. Disconnect from what frontline workers do v manager knowledge of how much time it takes to do the work. Managers manipulate employee dynamics to pressure, isolate, and shame employees.

      Pros

      Secure in my job, benefits are excellent, including multiple retirement packages and health plans that include HSA with employer contributions. Opportunity to work on a variety of different projects affecting many different fields of work.

      Cons

      Can be slow and boring, lots of "left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing" issues with accomplishing tasks or getting approval, drama between various departments.
