Excellent healthcare benefits- though costs are rising Flexible Hybrid work schedule Supportive management

Cons

Multiple years of county budget shortfalls keep increasing costs of benefits and some departments have had to slow hiring or let positions go to balance the budgets. Cut to the bone and no where left to trim.

I loved my job. I worked with great people and had a great supervisor. The team I was on offered a lot of scheduling flexibility so I had an excellent work/life balance. The program I worked for does great work for the public.

Cons

Compensation for work was a touch low. Lack of opportunities to advance. Lack of opportunities to be reclassified due to Limited Duration status (a part of advancement concern). It is unclear when classification and compensation structures will be revised and implemented. The work is in progress. A revised system may help fix some of the issues I had.
