Pros
If you are a self-starter, ambitious, thoughtful, analytical, creative thinker, introvert, extrovert, people-person, numbers-person...there's a place for you. And if there's not a "place" for you yet, they are open to you creating that place! Your path is dependent upon your ability to communicate that passion to leadership, get on board with Ware Malcomb standards/culture, and work with your team to create that vision you see. I have seen team members of all types/abilities join in and change what is seemingly a "typical corporate structure" into something new and fresh. The standards and processes that are already in place are super helpful. If you're not a rule-follower, that may be a struggle for you, but if you invest your time and efforts wisely, leadership will hear your ideas to change them where warranted.
Especially in San Diego, team members are given lots of flexibility to have a family, have a life, as long as you are an "adult" and get your work handled. Be responsive...communicate with your team...and the opportunities are endless! We have an amazing team here, much of that due to the leadership of Tiffany English. She is a great mentor, and teaches that same culture pervasively to all other team members throughout the office, and beyond to the rest of the company.
Cons
No company is void of challenges when humans are involved. Yes, it's "corporate" at times. Yes, it's hard work...that's the industry we're in. No surprises here.
