Pros

Gain experience ☑️ Basic salary higher than same industry ☑️

Cons

❌ work life balance You have to work at least 44 hours per week. No time for the employees to do workout or accompany with their families ❌ Heavy workload You have to handle and check 100+ students' work every week each student has 3 exercises you need to mark. And your students might be in nursery, primary, or secondary. The work is totally overloaded. Finish your work at the company is absolutely impossible. As you need to finish your work at home, you have no time to have your own private life EVEN ON YOUR OFFDAY. Besides, you need to communicate with the parents and do others paperwork. ❌ No OT will be given If you cannot finish your work, yes, you need to bring home. ❌ No mobile is allowed in the company You need to put your phone in the locker when you are at work. The boss requests employees to do that because the boss thinks it is very efficient not to use a mobile phone at work. So the boss forced the employees to do the same. ❌ Need to reply to all the msg all the time in the group as long as there is. You need to reply a “Noted” msg immediately if there is any msg send in the group. If not, the boss will ask helper call or msg you within 5 mins. ❌ Yes, you need to flatten your boss ❌ Compulsory team building activities You need to attend all the activities they conduct and it is compulsory. You are not allowed to absent. You have to go the activities on the morning and rush back to own branches before the afternoon classes start. Transportation expenses cannot be reimbursed. ❌ Hard to taking leave Even you are sick they will ask you to work if you are not that serious. The company forcing employees to take unpaid leave if you really want to.

Pros

Attractive compensation and bonus packages.

Cons

There is virtually no work-life balance. Employees are expected to deal with work matters even on their days off, and overtime caused by student-related issues is common, yet no overtime compensation is provided. The management culture can be extremely discouraging. Meetings often feel more like opportunities for public criticism than constructive discussions, with management frequently emphasizing authority rather than fostering a supportive environment. The boss has been away from teaching for many years and appears disconnected from the realities of today’s students. Many examples and expectations are based on outdated experiences, making it difficult for staff to relate to or implement them effectively. The company also struggles with staffing issues. Some recently hired teachers seem unprepared for their roles, while certain underperforming and irresponsible employees continue to be retained simply because the company is short-staffed. This creates an unfair burden on capable employees and contributes to a toxic work environment where accountability is lacking.
