      Pros

      Good pay compared to most departments in the state. Also comparatively fewer use of force incidents

      Cons

      Stressful environment, everyday has the potential to go bad. You’re exposed to dangerous individuals and diseases at a higher rate than most people. Forced OT is common due to the turnover but not as bad as other departments. Their system for forcing people is pretty fair

      The people are amazing! I get to work with an amazing team everyday. Compensation is very competitive.

      It was a great first opportunity into IT and it got me the experience I needed for my next role

      Small IT department, limited opportunities to move within the department. General unwillingness to share information
