Pros

- Great teammates - Great company values and mission - Down to earth & friendly coworkers at the store/shop level, had lots of laughs with some coworkers - they were great company - Some senior managers & store owners were very friendly and easygoing - Competitive benefits and PTO - Some depts invest in their new employees with quality training, but not all departments do so - IT was very helpful/accessible and decent facilities at corp - Opportunities to grow and experience working in other departments

Cons

- Small store dept I worked in was less organized and less proactive than the larger one, did't have time to invest in their employees, wasn't team oriented, so information wasn't shared and bonding/outings were nonexistent, not aligning with company values, facilities were dated, and favoritism was obvious - Corporate dept I worked in was very bureaucratic - lots of red tape, but understandable in this industry, no down-time allowed, and some coworkers/mgmt seemed artificial - Mgmt across different depts and HR would gossip among each other about other managers/employees within the company and in the industry - seemed unprofessional - Difficult personalities to work with at times - some coworkers were standoffish or would get defensive with every interaction - HR wasn't very responsive to needs or inquiries during my employment - Got terminated instead of laid off due to COVID-19 - was not given the option to work part time, and unused PTO was not paid out

Pros

Good training, base salary, benefits like health insurance, 401k. Good pay plan for high volume dealerships.

Cons

Pay plan is entirely based on volume, and some rooftops are doing in a day what others do in a week. Do your research as to where you go because you can't switch to another dealership until you have tenure. The volume at Toyota is insane. Meanwhile I'm next door at the Buick GMC dealership and our volume is terrible, and I can't switch for months. I'm likely going to have to quit.
