Pros

Great core values. The haggle-free, transparent business model caters to a friendlier car-buying experience. Effective training program. The "base" salary from the pay plan helps to provide consistent income for the slower winter months.

Cons

Because the pay is no longer hourly, it makes it difficult to justify staying hours late to "close the deal," especially if it falls through. Used to have a small pay incentive for hitting team goals, whereas the new pay plan is a lot more individualistic.

Pros

Good training, base salary, benefits like health insurance, 401k. Good pay plan for high volume dealerships.

Cons

Pay plan is entirely based on volume, and some rooftops are doing in a day what others do in a week. Do your research as to where you go because you can't switch to another dealership until you have tenure. The volume at Toyota is insane. Meanwhile I'm next door at the Buick GMC dealership and our volume is terrible, and I can't switch for months. I'm likely going to have to quit.
