Pros

Not many, pay is reasonable, company vehicle provided for some emplyees

Cons

Unless you are absolutely desperate for a job I would advise you to stay away. They treat their employees like crap. Management is clueless in all aspects of how to run a business. Management has no clue who works hard at job sites and who does not because they are never there to see it. As a result, most of the time they choose the wrong employees to lay off or cut. Management talks behind employees back to other employees. Promises are made but never kept. When business is slow they lay off the field staff but keep all office staff, makes no sense. Too many office staff which is one of the reasons why the company continues to lose money. Estimates on jobs are rarely accurate, another reason for loss of money, but of course they blame the techs for it. Techs are blamed for every problem within the company, does not matter whose fault it really is, office staff can do no wrong. Not a company for a career, more of a stepping stone to further yours. I can not see this company being around for long. It has been operational for over 10 years and still only has about 6-8 field techs, not much growth, but not surprising when you look at the so called "management team". They have more office staff then they do field techs, that should be a sure sign to management that something is wrong.

Pros

Good location and good clientel. Wallwin is small company with opportunities to grow. Management is very approachable and try to help their on-field technicians as much as possible. If employees are reliable and responsible management provides support and flexibility.

Cons

Often it seems that penny crunching can takes priority over providing excellent customer service. At times management fails to recognize the importance of ensuring employees are recognized for their work. Benefits are minimal and most tools are not provided. Employees are not always paid for their time spent training. A little more effort in ensuring employees are satisfied should lead to improved employee commitement and dedidication to the company.

Pros

Great Company, I was more then happy to leave my previous employer where I was constantly working out of town and working many night shifts. Wallwin offered me steady local work with little to no weekends and was hired as a Cabling Foreman however didn't deliver on what I told them I could do. This is my failure not the companies. They gave me an opportunity to showcase my skills as a leader/foreman right away. Unfortunately I didn't do a good job. However to the companies credit they did send me additional manpower that was able to fix my mistakes. The overall job was a success. Although it was over budget slightly due to my errors. During my 3 month probation period I was provided with a company vehicle. (Not normally given out to probationary employees) They also provided me with constant supervision and direction. My manager even came out on his holidays to help me on the project I was working on. Even though it was my fault because I failed to write down the instructions he gave me the week prior. I was provided with a company phone and allowed to use it personally!!! They didn't even charge me anything when I broke the phone. Talk about being understanding. It was clear to everyone on site (including the customer) that I didn't know what I was doing. So they exercised their right not to continue my employment past the probation period. I honestly cant blame them either. I contentiously called my manger by the wrong name, Installed devices in the wrong location and forgot instructions on a daily basis. After spending many months blaming the company for my failure, and the fact that not even my previous employer wouldn't take me back, I've taken a long look at myself and have realized that I need to make a change, both professionally and personally. I can only hope that one day I'm the kind of person they would consider hiring.

Cons

They are the best, and in turn expect the best out of their employees. If you don't meet this requirement, don't bother. You won't Last! Don't lie on your resume, They will call you out on it!
