      Workload is average depending on the project you are managing.

      Cons

      Company culture is usually very authoritative and you will be working below the level you get hired. Your ambitions have to be below average to like it here and most of the time you will not be working based on your job description. Compensation is average if you are in a state with low cost of living but poor if you are in a state with high cost of living.

      Pros

      Very interesting work, market competitive for a non-union shop

      Cons

      No training structure, learn by doing, which depends on who you work with. Lack of drive from coworkers to finish projects. Definitely going through a transition period, but new shop manager has better vision for future.
