- People genuinely care about each other
- Salaried employees have flexible schedules and tons of PTO
- Good benefits, including pension for non-management staff
- You feel like the work you're doing has meaning
Working here for 10+ years is the norm because of the above.
Cons
Decisions are always by committee and no one person is accountable or empowered to decide -- you need to be self-driven, organized and very persistent to get anything done

Pros
Lots of earned time off. Fantastic opportunity to educate and influence nurses and the public. Reasonable salary compared to peers in the industry.
Cons
Boss was a bully. Demanded that employees work in excess of 50 hours in spite of promising that the work was only 40-50 hours per week.
