Pros

Westerwood Global has great people. I really did enjoy the diversity of people that go hired. The managers are pretty cool too. One time they hired one employee that did not care as much about quality or about their coworkers, and that employee did not last long. I gained very valuable experience that helped me get hired on by a client of Westerwood Global. The work was occasionally a bit tedious but stimulating most of the time. Sometimes you are under the gun to get work done and to do it well, other times you have to hurry up and wait for hours at a time. But no matter what, doing the job right the first time is always a high priority. Westerwood also cares a lot about safety and does not brush aside any safety policy. They will always take the appropriate actions when a situation arises. It was difficult to obtain a raise, but Westerwood is *sometimes* willing to give raises if you are legitimately going above and beyond and have a good track record of success. Getting certified in your position by the company goes a long way to help with that. Seems that 8% to 12% is pretty much reasonable. The benefits are really pretty reasonable to cover the minimum of what is needed.

Cons

The pay is significantly lower than the industry average for semiconductor technicians. But that is mainly because most people do not get a job here for the money but for the opportunity to gain really valuable experience. You need to be okay with starting small.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s great to hear that you’re gaining strong practical experience through technical work, testing equipment, and problem solving, and that the collaborative team environment helps you feel supported. We’re glad the learning opportunities, along with the pay and benefits, are contributing positively to your role. We also appreciate your feedback about the physical demands and the need to follow strict procedures. We understand how spending long hours on your feet can be challenging, and we’re always looking at ways to strengthen training and support. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts and suggestions.

Pros

The people I worked with were decent enough, I guess. That was honestly the only tolerable part.

Cons

- Absolutely nothing gets fixed. Someone makes a mistake, it gets brought up in a meeting, then everything gets ignored and the exact same problems show up again a few weeks later like nobody learned anything. - Management has zero interest in real accountability. Watching the same pathetic cycle repeat over and over becomes exhausting fast. - "Do better next time" is the only response, which means absolutely nothing when there is no structure, no meaningful standards, and nothing being enforced. - The environment destroys motivation because there are zero consequences and nothing anyone does actually matters anyway. - After months of watching this nonsense repeat itself, you eventually stop trying because the company clearly does not care at all.
