Pros

Journalism is essential. WFAA gives you the chance to reach a large audience. It's important work and the majority of colleagues are great.

Cons

You will be gaslit (especially if you're a woman or minority). They do not pay fairly and will lie to your face about it. Even with female management, white men continue to get special treatment when it comes to projects, opportunities and pay. They do not do well with retention because they do not put enough focus on appreciating current employees. Promotions are hard to come by and they will undervalue your work if you're a hard, caring worker. This is not a one-time thing. This is based on years of observations. My advice to workers, don't be afraid to talk salary. Don't be afraid to stick up for yourself. Trust your intuition.

Pros

Great place to work. The people making decisions care about their employees and create great work environment.

Cons

Some assignments are given repeatedly to the same people. There could be better opportunities to spread fun opportunities around to others.
