Pros

Legacy of high journalistic standards; a newsroom of people who want to perform at the highest standards of TV and Digital news; staff members hold each other accountable; good comraderie among staff; some truly outstanding journalism done daily; excellent long-form reporting

Cons

Big turnover in staff---seems to have a revolving door, with few long-timers any more; Lack of vision; poor morale, overall, due to relentless poor treatment of staff by upper management (people in tears in the building and sitting in their cars before they leave work (from time to time); very heavy on criticism; positive reinforcement is almost non-existent; a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately management style; condescending treatment by some work group leaders who are just trying to hang on for the long haul or who are buidling their resumes to get a bigger job in TV news; a general feeling that corporate is clueless to the general operation and equipment needs; very little happiness in this building

Pros

Great place to work. The people making decisions care about their employees and create great work environment.

Cons

Some assignments are given repeatedly to the same people. There could be better opportunities to spread fun opportunities around to others.
