Pros

Really good, smart coworkers. Some excellent management in Finance. Gym and Crossfit classes on campus Cafeterias on campus, free "eat and greet" lunches once a week. Biannual bonuses based on company performance with individual performance multipliers.

Cons

Health care - HSA plan -- high deductible for employees. WDC has purchased both HGST and SanDisk in the last seven years. Integration of accounting systems is expected to be a couple of years out (when there will very likely be many finance layoffs of duplicate positions). In the meantime, consolidating financial data and tracking transactions between three different ERP systems is incredibly manual and time consuming, leaving little time for any other work. In Finance, until integration is complete, there is no work-life balance. High turnover in Finance. Some very good people have not stayed for even six months. Vacation pay does not accrue, instead employees are free to "take as much vacation as you want", however it is not possible considering the workload.
