Administrators are often hired on quotas and who they know, and not on knowledge or the ability to do the job Corruption runs deep in this district, where many of the HR personnel are politically connected, and often the higher-ups are riding on the coattails of their parents, who worked for the district The union will not fight for individual teachers, but rather will be mostly politically aligned with the district management and will not take complaints by individual teachers unless it has a critical mass of teachers, often more than five. The district has been singling out higher-paid teachers and harassing them to quit or retire.
