Pros

Starting pay at World's Best Cheese is $14.00 an hour. You get a fifty cent raise every year. You have medical, dental, and vision. It is a union job. The company pays for your medical, dental, and vision. You just pay your union dues once a month. You can put your spouse and dependent children on your medical, dental, and vision. The company pays for them as well. You just pay your union dues. The regular work week is M-Th for warehouse and Tu-F for drivers. Overtime is available year round, and there is a lot of overtime available in November and December.

Cons

The downside to accepting a job at World's Best Cheeses is that there is a 120 day probationary period you must pass through before you become a permanent employee, join the union, and receive your medical, dental, and vision. A lot of people are hired, come in every day, work hard, and are let go after 115, 118, or 119 days. The company does not have to give any reason for dismissing an employee who has not completed their probationary period.

Pros

The A/R Manager is very smart and I learned a lot from her. She was an amazing woman to work for and I've taken everything I learned from her into my current role. The owner may be a grump but he was the hardest working person there, I worked 3 years and he was always there before everyone and would stay after everyone went home.

Cons

The owner is not the most pleasant person to work for but he did give me a chance without having any experience so I am very grateful.
