Pros

The title basically says it all. Though I can give one pro. For the most part, the people you'll be working with are cool. And it's a lax environment, which helps. Overall, if you're looking for a first job out of school or are trying to get your foot in the door at a tech company, it's a halfway decent option.

Cons

Bottom line - if you're seeking a company to enjoy a promising career, this is not the place for you. Vuria is honestly not run very well to put it simply. You have an owner who cares about his bottom line first and foremost, who commands loyalty but offers no incentive to do so, and who treats a select few as first class while alienating others - leaving them feeling expendable. However, if you're a 'yes' man, you might just make it far here. Some do and they're proud of it! I was there under a year before I had enough. I never had a single review or raise - even after taking on another set of responsibilities for 2 months not at all related to my job description when another person quit and they were trying to find a replacement. There was no recognition whatsoever. Of course, others who started at the same time as me and even far later have had multiple reviews and received raises. What kind of way is that to run a company? This was the worst place I've worked for. And for developers and especially project managers - be prepared to work many hours at home playing catch-up because of unrealistic deadlines, too many projects thrown on your plate, and the fact that the company is purposely understaffed. I'd also like to mention that the sales people are masters at taking advantage of clients. And it's just not right. Yeah, we get you're trying to make a living, but there's always a right way and a wrong way to do things.

Pros

My absolute favorite part of Vuria is the people. It really feels like a family here! Everyone is extremely welcoming to new team members and will go out of their way to help you. Team members are all extremely knowledgable which makes meetings more effective. Company benefits seem to get better & better every year.

Cons

In the past, processes & procedures had been lacking. However, management has really been making an effort in this area and I see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Pros

The people were great. Some of the most talented and nice people I'd met. The atmosphere was fun yet laid back. The work was diverse and interesting.

Cons

The pace was generally too fast. There was no time to grow other skills properly. Could have had some better career growth opportunities by allowing time for education and skill advancement.
