Pros

Smart, ambitious people. The calibre of talent across the business is high. You’re surrounded by people who care about doing great work and pushing things forward. Real ownership and impact. If you’re proactive and driven, there’s huge opportunity to lead projects that directly shape the company’s trajectory. You won't be a cog in the wheel. Strong mission. Helping people take control of their health is a genuinely meaningful space. It’s rewarding to work on a product that’s trying to tackle taboos and improve lives. Cross-functional exposure. You’ll learn how different parts of the business come together. Great experience if you want to build a wide skillset.

Cons

Pace and scope can be overwhelming. The bar is high and things move fast, which can sometimes lead to burnout or lack of clarity on prioritisation. Still finding its operating rhythm. Some areas (e.g. process, planning, internal tooling) are still catching up to the scale and ambition of the business. Communication can be uneven. With so much happening, it’s easy for silos to form or for important context to get lost unless you actively seek it out.

- It is face paced and wants you to take full ownership very quickly so not for everyone - Good business proposition but also have to be able to think across health and technology

Pros

- Many colleagues care about their work and try to improve things. - Company retreats are fun. - Healthcare is a stable industry, and somewhat noble.

Cons

- Management pushes for speed instead of solid engineering. - The codebase is a mess. Constant pressure to ship means technical debt stays ignored. - Leadership measures success using useless metrics like lines of code and PR counts. - Priorities shift constantly. - Frequent layoffs and high turnover. - A lot of overtime. - Compensation is average.
